7 Days with Gerard

7 Days with Gerard: A British Artist's Journal of Post-Tsunami Sri Lanka.This website is the online version of an exhibition by Shadric Toop shown at Crane Kalman Brighton, 26 December to 22 January 2005. 4 months after the tsunami, Shadric Toop travelled to Sri Lanka. Gerard Weber was his driver and translator on the trip. The photographs and stories gathered during these 7 days in April 2005 became the basis for Toop's first solo show as an artist. Toop's work combines photography, drawing, writing and painting.
